WELCOME BY THE PRINCIPAL

Howrah Primary School is one of Tasmania’s leading Primary Schools and shares with our community a history since 1961. The school is located on over 10.5 hectares and is split between four campuses.

Our expansive buildings and grounds cater for Birth – Grade 6 students and families. A separate Library, Music Room, Multi Purpose Hall designed for both sporting and social events, two large sports fields with native surrounds, all on the beach front of the Derwent River. Students at Howrah Primary School are encouraged to share and engage in many experiences of learning and developing their skills. They show dedication and motivation in achieving their goals with the opportunities they experience within our school environment.

Our dedicated and friendly staff provide the best education and services to our students and families throughout their educational years. Building strong partnerships with students, families and the community enhances our ability to cater and care for the needs of all individuals. We strongly encourage families and community members to be actively involved in students education and wellbeing.
